The Cook County Physicians Association invites you to the Dr. George C. Hall Excellence in Medicine Fundraiser, an afternoon dedicated to scholarship, legacy, culture, and community investment.

Taking place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at The University Club, this signature fundraising event will support scholarships for future African American physicians while celebrating the physicians, mentors, students, and community supporters who help shape the next generation of medical excellence.

This year’s theme, “It Takes a Village,” honors the collective responsibility we share in opening doors, building pathways, and investing in Black medical professionals who will serve and lead for generations to come.

Guests will enjoy an elevated afternoon experience featuring networking, music, passed hors'doeuves, cultural celebration, and opportunities to support the mission through unique auction items and giving opportunities.

Dress Code: African Regalia / Afrocentric Elegance
Guests are encouraged to wear African-inspired attire, cultural prints, elegant regalia, or sophisticated Afrocentric fashion.

Event highlights may include Cultural entertainment, African drumming, South African wines, and exclusive auction opportunities, including a gorilla safari adventure and more.

About the association

CCPA is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of minority communities.

Our members provide medical care throughout Cook County and serve many minority populations. We have also partnered with organizations to provide medical professionals for mentorship and volunteer events such as health fairs, voter registration drives and career days. Our members provide expert knowledge by speaking on health-related panels hosted by various groups such as legislature, faith- based and community organizations. CCPA wants to be more present in our communities. Let’s partner to make this organization the best that it can be.
