Join Cook County Physicians for a special Black History month get together. We are inviting members to unwind, socialize, and celebrate the birthday of our founder, Dr. George C. Hall (February 22, 1864).  This event is free. The first (25) members to RSVP will receive a complimentary glass of wine, courtesy of the CCPA board.

Dr. George Cleveland Hall, Chicago, Illinois African American physician and humanitarian was born on February 22, 1864, to John Ward Hall, a Baptist minister, and Romelia Buck Hall in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Dr. Hall eventually rose to head the Chicago Urban League and became vice-president of the National Urban League. In 1915 he became one of the five founding members and the first president of the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (ASNLH), currently known as the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH).

About the association

CCPA is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of minority communities.

Our members provide medical care throughout Cook County and serve many minority populations. We have also partnered with organizations to provide medical professionals for mentorship and volunteer events such as health fairs, voter registration drives and career days. Our members provide expert knowledge by speaking on health-related panels hosted by various groups such as legislature, faith- based and community organizations. CCPA wants to be more present in our communities. Let’s partner to make this organization the best that it can be.
